dawn

air swells
with buzzed anticipation

a deliberate blue glow
exudes from the black

energy in all forms
converge with intent

the light shines
as does the soul
into the darkness
that is life



orange cat
dingy hobbler
clinking tags
wanting the touch
of your master's hand
wandering down
a sidewalk of sorrow
quiet hour, gentle dusk
