We flew in to Philadelphia on Sunday and after crossing a huge bridge over the Delaware River we found ourselves in New Jersey. I guess in my mind I expected a very industrious landscape sprinkled with garbage dumps. I new the NJ was the "garden state" but as soon as we left the bridge there was nothing but old growth trees and narrow roads. It was like driving through a state park back home. You can't see that far off the road which makes navigation difficult and they must have some ordinance against business signs and I have yet to see a "billboard". There is a huge Summit-like shopping center just down the road, but you can't see it from the road and don't even know your in it until you breech the parking lot.
Have to say I am impressed with the visual aspect of New Jersey. At least southern New Jersey- I have yet to see a Wal-mart!
You seen Tony Soprano yet??
